Do I need an account to start?
You can open a conversation from any character page. Jaumo asks only for what is needed to keep your chat history attached to you between visits.
Is Jaumo free to use?
There is a free tier that covers everyday conversation. Longer sessions and extra companions are offered as a paid option inside Jaumo, and nothing is charged without a clear confirmation.
Are the companions real people?
No. Every companion on Jaumo is invented, including the name, the personality and the portrait. Nobody on the site is a real individual and no real person is depicted.
Will a companion remember our earlier conversations?
Yes. Continuity is the point. Companions on Jaumo carry forward the details you share so a chat started weeks ago can pick up where it left off.
Can I change how a companion speaks to me?
You can. Ask for shorter replies, a warmer tone, a different language or a different subject, and the companion adjusts for the rest of the conversation.
What kind of conversations suit Jaumo best?
Daily company, thinking out loud, language practice, collaborative storytelling and simple unhurried conversation. Jaumo keeps its tone friendly and tasteful throughout.

Yes. Jaumo is intended for adults aged 18 and over.
Can I write in a language other than English?
Yes. Start the conversation in the language you prefer and the companion will continue in it, switching back whenever you ask.
How private are my conversations?
Conversations are tied to your own session and are not published anywhere on the site. The privacy notice sets out in plain terms what is stored and for how long.
Can I delete my chat history?
You can clear a conversation at any time from inside the chat, and you can ask for everything associated with you to be removed.
